OK, many people hate the flatline, many love it. I am really thinking about getting one. Is it very good/accurate? I know the distance is awesome, but does it affect accuracy, shooting speed, etc.?

P.S. Whats a good paint for it?

OK my friend has a flatline and he is artillery... The accuracy does suck however, after a certain distance the balls curve all over the place (certain distance is a long ways however). The speed on the ball was horrible as well. Because of all the spin on the ball (that's why it curves and is slow) the balls are "dodgeable" (after certain distance again).
BASICALLY... extreme range but poor accuracy and speed... all in all NOT WORTH IT you are better off with a LAPCO SS or Aluminum or a DYE SS or Aluminum

I disagree...

My friend has a flatline and It is pretty accurate
(read this auction, it tells you about the flatline design) http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1017628437

Yes, the barrel is made to have a backspin, to go against the force of gravity giving it a wider range.

The barrel curves up, and a few reasons why people curve balls when they shoot is, they're holding their gun crooked, or they just put the barrel in wrong.

paint? My friend uses rps all stars and it gets the job done (i've heard pmi balls suck in it)

and the curving can be used to your advantage.... (ie shooting around a bunker by tipping the gun sideways)

go to your local paintball store and ask them if you can fire is a couple times....if you can't try to convince a friend or someone to buy one...lol

I don't think it's worth it unless you need the longer range. My friend has one and it is accurate up to about 40 yards. After that they start curving all over. And yes he did install it right. In my opinion a Dye or Lapco barrel is a much better investment.
