What barrel is this?

Any input is appreciated. It came on the mag I bought used from a friend, and he doesn't remember the name of it...

9", Semi-gloss black finish, spiral porting in groups of 5 holes, continuous dimples run up the length of the barrel in 3 places...thanks again

Seems like a J&J ceramic barrel, but in black..

it's not a ceramic cause i have one on my spyder...know what baffles me though? the outside of the barrel seems almost like it's been treated with a small layer of plastic coating or something...but i can't tell...any other ideas?

all i know is my mag's accuracy has gone to hell past 20 feet...what am i doing wrong in this setup?

I'm using Zap Performance Plus, so possibly that's the culprit, but i watch my balls shoot straight, one on top of the other for 20 feet, then they swirl the rest of the way past that...

ANYONE ELSE HAVE INPUT ON THE "MYSTERY BARREL?!"

but the problem with your accuracy probly isn't due to the barrel.
you are running nitro on an automag, and you don't have accuracy past 20 ft? this is odd. Check your gun, because i bet the stock barrel on a automag has great aim past 20 ft.

Hmmmm. my first guess would be a DYE excel barrel without the logo. But then again that barrel doesn't have a muzzle break on the tip like the excel. more or less the back looks more like the excel.

The front looks like it would be a jacko barrel, kinda like the jacko infinity barrels found on the Dark Autococker.

where did you get it?

could be custom made. a kid in my engineering class has cloned a dye boomstick on rhino. he hasn't made it though. mabye someone just cloned another barrel and made slight differences.

i think it looks like a dye excel but like silent knight said theres no logo, but i think it might be an eagle works barrel

I got the barrel when I bought the gun used off of a friend...apparently when he bought it, it came with it. So unfortunately, neither of us have any idea what it is.

It could very well be a cloned barrel, although I, myself, havent ever seen one...I wouldn't know how to identify one...

And NO, it's defintely NOT an eagleworks...last time i checked, correct me if i'm wrong, they only made barrels for Brass Eagle markers?

I've been searching EVERYWHERE for what it could be...I think i may have figured it out though...not sure...

an On Target barrel...nonetheless, i think i'm purchasing a Teardrop soon...

he bought it from a dealer in the area, that, unfortunately went out of business recently...the dealer is the one that added the barrel on it, so there's really no way to find out from AGD about the barrel, nor from the dealer now that they've folded...

it's not taso or eagleworks, im pretty damn sure about that.

sheesh, this is itching my brain now.... Perhaps is some kind of prototype barrel, or like the first batch of some kind of barrel that has since then changed.

ah forget it, thinking about this is going to make me crazy, but someone said to check out the AGD forum and ask those guys. They should help you out. don't forget to check out some of those Automag owners groups. you should probably find your answer there, one of the veteran automag users would know.

i think it is a 32* whisper barrel, i saw an add for one and it looks just like it

IT looks to me like the old all american smart parts i know it is made by smart parts. but i not wuite sure which barrel i really think it is the all american

well didn't the old AA's have spiral porting just like they do now?? this one doesn't look like spiral porting to me.

it looks exactly like the aa but it doesnt have the spiral proting so i dont know i know it is a smart patrts barrel though so if that helps u out
