View Full Version : Why did you choose a Tippmann over other guns...

Keeping with the tradition of threads with many replys, I'm now asking why you choose a Tippmann over a Spyder, Dragun, Fishy, etc....
You may as why i'm doing this, it is because it is fun, other forums have many tech/problem threads (because their guns break more) , and most Tippmann stuff is covered in the Sticky.

Here is why I bought a Tippmann..

1. Reputation for dependability.
2. Many people I knew loved theirs
3. Upgrades
4. I wanted a Black gun, not chrome, red, etc....
5. Made in USA
6. Quality
7. customer service
8. Although I never bought one, I like the Flatline, and someday still may get one.

Well I bought my A-5 because it looks good. I still remember the first time I seen one at a store I was like "I got to have that". So now I do. Yeah yeah I know bad reason for buying a marker but hey. Oh and having the cash in my pocket helped alot too. It wasn't until after I bought the marker did I realize what a good buy it was. Easy to assemble and disassemble etc. The rest has been covered before.

Edit: Cool I got the first post in!!!:D

I love my tippy because:

Wasn't so expensive as other guns out there.

Tippman gives you a 1 year warrenty.

They are all for customer service, I haven't heard of one person not getting customer service for them.

With the a5 you can field strip it is one min and you don't need and devices, there are just push pins.

Made in America, I love my country!

You can get the flatline for a tippy.;)

Very durible!

I pretty much got my Tippmann (A-5) for two reasons, well three actually.

1. It was cheap
2. FLATLINE BARREL :D
3. I didn't have to spend another $50 on a hopper!

The Durability, quality, and customer service were just added bonuses I didn't know about.

Tippmann Rocks.

I wanted a scenario looking marker that I could stomp in the mud, pick it up and continue to play with. Having done this several times ( I hate getting shot ) and have not ran into any problems, the 98c is the perfect marker for me. Plus, when I have a few extra hundred bucks, I want to get the M4 kit, I already have the stock.

I was at Skyball and wanted a Impulse w/ Vision.... But got greedy and bought a C4 jersy, Crossfire 68.3000 fiber, Mantis pack... and before I knew it, I was $200 short. So I bought one as a future back up, and a gun to tinker with. It was a good investment.

But I still want my impy

I needed a gun that would last me a long time. I also needed good performance potential.

I got both, I love my 98C.

i regret buying my tippmann. it is the worse gun avalible. you cna't clean it without it breaking, the customer service sucks(it takes like 2 monthes to get your gun back) it talks forever to clean, the upgrades suck balls. I wish i bought a spyder...

1. Reputation for dependability: yep... i do lotsa research b4 getting into a hobby, and tippys had great reviews durability wise
2. Many people I knew loved theirs: nooo not really my friends all have crappy guns
3. Upgrades: well i would have upgraded any gun i got, but other that the e=grip or e bolt or whatever it is for the 98c being so super expensive, i'm happy with the upgrade situation.
4. I wanted a Black gun, not chrome, red, etc.... yeah i liked the matte black better that the bling-bling style of most other markers
5. Made in USA: matters not
6. Quality: has been everything promised
7. customer service: havent had to deal with them much
8. Although I never bought one, I like the Flatline, and someday still may get one. err only if i have no other paintball thing i could possibly want.

2. Many people I knew loved theirs: My buddy has one and he loves it to death.
3. Upgrades: It's not called a 98 Custom for nothing! :D
4. Color: I liked the military like look but I'm still one day going to buy a cocker
5. Made in USA: Hey, as long as it's good I don't care
6. Quality: everything that was advertised and then some
7. customer service: never dealt with them
8. Flatline: eh. I don't see a need for it.

I got mine because I had a bonedaddy, an excellerator, a compact, an imagine, and a victor2 all break on me. I got tired of sitting games out, so I bought my tippy.I have been happy with knowing that my gun will wrk every time i gas it up.

To be completely honest with you guys, when I bought the 98C, I didn't know anything about paintball, and the 98C just happened to be the cheapest marker in the proshop I usually go to.

I have 3 reasons why I got my A-5.

1. Don't have to spend $60 bucks on a hopper.
2. Can be upgraded massivly.
3. R/T and Egrip

When I bought it, I bought it only because of looks. :)
