Hey...i just got a new impulse from e-paintballoutlet.com with a blade trigger....its got a real nice trigger pull (looks like just under 1mm) but I'd kinda like a little more restance (so the trigger pops back a little quicker)....what should I do? I have yet to take the bord out to look at the springs but I've done trigger jobs on spyders so I have some idea how they (triggers) work. would you recomend streaching out the springs for more resistance or should I just try'n get stiffer springs???

Sounds good, try stretching out the spring, might not work, because I'm sure it's really soft and light, so a stiffer spring might help you out. Just tweak at it, Blade's are made for tweaking. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Spyders are different! Now with that said, let me tell ya something that maybe ya didn't know! These Imps have got a tiny little micro switch that's under a very light weight metal lever that is hinged at one end, this metal will bend and break if ya aren't very gentle, and I do mean very gentle!
Now I've shortened my Wermstick trigger up to less than a mouseclick so I put a pen spring in mine . I just cut it to the same length as the stock springs length. So maybe stretchin the stock will work, I'm really not to sure though so ask around some more, and Good luck! Let us know what ya did and how it turned out!

Wouldn't hurt to talk to Fom, either. fom@e-paintballoutlet.com or call him at (810) 245-1914.

You can tighten down the spring on an Impulse with the screw that holds it in can't you? That's why the treading for the screw goes down so far isn't it? I thought that screw was for adjusting the resistance.

Well I did it...I streached out the spring and it's got a little more pop to it....much better....but I wish I knew about that screw thingy.....man when I took my gun apart I had no idea what I was doing....my first mistake was takeing the whole grip frame apart....figured out afterwards all I had to do was take the pins out and pull out the trigger...oh yea thanx fer the warning about the microswitch....then :pissed: when I put the thing back together the switch was permenantly pressed down (my heart stopped for a second) but all I had to do was adjust one of the set screws in the trigger....now it works very nicely but maby some day i'll try'n get a stiffer spring...i like the feel of a tough spring and a short trigger pull (it beats the hell out of my spyder, thats fer'sure)...thanx all 4 yer advice...l8

No problem, good warning 'bout the microswitch.
Glad we were of help, enjoy rippin' on it on the field. :)
Sorry I didn't see this sooner-- you didn't have to do anything to the spring. All you had to do was screw the little set screw behind the trigger (1/8" allen) down a little tighter. Of course to get at the adjustment, you do have to remove the grip frame- but once you can see the top of the trigger, you would just give that set screw a 1/2 turn or so. (you can turn it a little and try it-then adjust it some more.) Hope you rembered to loc-tite the set screw so it dosen back out on you while you play.
