This is the first time I've heard of paintballs breaking in the cyclone feed of an A-5.. Try cleaning your cyclone feed out though I think you probably tried that already. Also check to see if the feed is not loose.

I'd guess that you either have your barrel adapter screwed in wrong or you have a reg with the pressure set too low.
Other than that No, i haven't heard of paint breaking in the cyclone.
Maybe the above is correct and it just needs a good cleaning.

if i were you, i would take it to an airsmith to have a look @ it. Its probably the cyclone. sometimes the cyclone doesnt work right because of a gas problem but an airsmith at a local field or store could definately help you out

All of the above, but also, how old is your A-5? I know that people who bought the A-5 when it first came out had problems with their cyclone. Tippmann fixed this and all of the models since then have been ok. A way to tell is to look on the bottom of your cyclone and see if there is a capital "A." If so, then it's probably one of things that Greedy mentioned. If not, you've got an older A-5 with a defective cyclone. Call Tippmann and they'll send you another cyclone feed, free of charge. I think all you have to do is give them the serial number so that they can verify that you have an older A-5.

That's why you're breaking the paint. Just call Tippmann and tell them your serial number on your marker and they're send the the replacement kit for free.
All you have to do is call.
I basically just reinstated what Henry said, you get the idea.
