Alright, I cant sleep, well yes i can, but anyway i dont know what the hell i should do. I pretty much have two pictures in my mind, one a Black TL+ with certain upgrades, the other, a silver TL+ with different upgrades. I know you people hate these posts, but anyway, Let me write out those ideas of mine, and you tell me which sounds better.

Max - $350
------------------------------
Spyder TL plus - $160
nVader Thermal Mask - $32.99
On/Off C02 Tank - $30
ACI Clear Elbow - $5
Dye Sticky Grips - $20
-----------------------------

Those are all pretty much solid purchases, now onto what im confused about.

------------------------------------------------------------
A.With a Black TL plus, I figured a Dye barrel such as this:
http://www.bbtpaintball.com/pictures/Dye.jpg
would be nice. The barrel is about $90, leaving me with only $10. Enough for a cheap VL200 hopper.
---------------------------------------------------------
B.With a Silver TL plus, I would get a J&J ceramic barrel for $45 seen here:
http://www.bbtpaintball.com/pictures/JJCeramic.jpg
This barrel i think is pretty much as good as the Dye, but the Dye looks a lot nicer. If i would get this barrel, i still have $55 left. Enough for either a Revolution 12v, or a Drop Foward. ( Another thing i need help on ).
------------------------------------------------------------

So, which setup do you like better? and Should i go for the Rev 12v or just a drop foward.

p.s- Thanks TL+84 for the info, just getting a few more opinions here!

buy a compact insteadn, get the j&j barrel, which is better then the dye aluminum, and buy a pmi regulator and a drop forward. It will be a bout the same, if not less, and it will perform better. Thats the setup id get i was in your position.

get the J&J and then use the rest of the money on a KAPP Drop Zone 2 drop forward

with 350 though, u could save 70 bucks by buying a compact, and with thet 70 u could buy a drop forward and reg, and it owuld be a sweet gun. If u really want a tl plus, it s ur decision, but since uhave 350, and want to upgrade righ away, i would buy a compact and upgradethe hell out of it right away. Just my opinion, but if u dont want to listne to me, get the tlplus with the j&j, its better then the dye aluminum

How about the Dye Boom Stick?

A damn fool
03-05-2001, 06:06 PM
Thats the best barrel u can get, i have it,and lvoe it. The boomstick is thebest barrel around, but most people are discureged because of the price. However, the best is gonna cost u. The second best is the j&j, so if u have the money, get the boomstick, if not, the next best thing is the j&J.

Whoa, 600 posts, im a professional:)

Thanks to that last opinion, i pretty much have made a solid decision:

Black TL plus. - $160
14" boomstick. - $110
Clear Dye Sticky Grips - $20
20oz On/Off Tank - $29
Jt nVader Thermal - $32
ACI Smoke Elbow - $6
and ill use some old VL200 loader i have.

------------- Total of Around $350

So pretty much, im not getting a rev, or a drop foward. Im slowly starting to lose interest in a drop foward, I through about it, and My old TL seemed balanced out pretty well. The rev however, will have to wait, we'll see how much of a priority it is.

So, what do you guys think?

14" looks like the best length for me... What size do you like?

A damn fool
03-05-2001, 06:34 PM
I have a 16 inch, but for since i on a team now, i wish i had bought a 12 inch, becsue it would be better for speedball. The 16 is extremely acurate though.

so what would you reccomend for Speedball + forest? 14" right? perfect size?

A damn fool
03-05-2001, 06:53 PM
yeah, id go for it, the 16 is great for when i snipe, but its too long for speedball. The 14 inch would probably be great, ut if u plan on joining a team eventually, then get the 12 inch, for rec, get the 14

uhh just a question. How are you going to shoulder that 20 oz. with out a drop forward? Just thought I might throw that out there.

My old TL plus didnt have a drop foward with a 20oz, I didnt have a problem with it..

if u get twenty more bucks, u can buy a stretch z drop 7 inch drop forward, which is what i have. ull have to buy another bottemline adaptor though to match the drop forward. Its great for shoulderingg a twenty ounce tanlk, only 4 inches of sticks out under the triger. It work perfect on a spyder, u sould save up for it

where do they sell those?

A damn fool
03-06-2001, 08:36 AM
paintballpx.xom, they havbe them in chrome and balck, for a spyders offest grip and for a egular gunb, tHE only probelm i had with it was that the bottemline adaptor wouldnt fit on it perfectyl, so i had to sand the bottemline down a little bit do it would match up prefectly

oh ya, your question, ummmm, I agree with the damn fool by saying you should get the compact2000, but since you've already made up your mind, I think you made a good choice sounds like it will be a good gun.
