ya im new to paintballin and i got a 98 custom and i wanna put a response trigger in it, but my friend (whose new too) seems to think that i would need an electric hopper if i had a response trigger...would i? or could i just use a simple hopper with it?

thnx,

yes you will need an ehopper. gravity fed isnt enough. I recommend at least a reloader, rico, or revy, but I highly recommend an Eggy 2 or even a Halo B if you can afford it.

well i just found out that an r/t trigger is not tournament legal :| so, what other upgrades would you recomment for like under $100?

get an ehopper
double trigger
do some trigger mods here and on model98.net
get a barrel (if ya dont have one) CP1pc, teardrop, Lapco bigshot
rear cocking mechanism, makes it quieter.
silence your sear spring w/ heat shrink tubing.
get your tank antisiphoned if you are using CO2.
get an xchamber if you cannot afford a good regulator.

you will be good to go for a while. then if you want, go up to HPA.

Check on ebay. they have cheap new stuff that is genuine. You can get a res. trig for , I think like 70 with shipping.
as far I know, responce triggers suck :( dont bother. save money and get the e-trigger. Who can argue with a trigger that shoots like 30rps? :)

If items are cheap in cost then it's likely that they're going to be cheap in quality. Theres a nice metal double trigger available at .Not cheap though
