Hey im not sure if a lot of you guys know, but the Free Flow cocker operates on 30-45 PSI! Does anyone know if this gun is good and if it is worth the money. I am very interested in this gun. It will take for ever to save up for this gun if i get good input on it.

30-45 psi? are you sure? that seems extremely low.

A damn fool

Ive heard the bob long intimidatro will run as low as 90 psi, but 45 psi, holy ****, and it thought 275psi was good!!

you're mistaken. THe cocker has two pressure settings..one is to cock the gun, and the other is like any other gun. The cocking pressure is 45 psi, although the regular inline reg pressure is somehwere around 200. The front pneumatics reg is set at 45 psi..that makes a little more sense..

Predator2

So then what is the pressure being put behind the paintball? If the internals cycle at 35 PSI then that just means that it only needs 35 PSI to cock?

it says internals cycle at 35 PSI

it cycles at 45 psi, but it doesn't mean that it will fire. THe thing is that the internals are mostly moved by the trigger group, and the front reg is what controls it...i still think it's the front pneumatics reg that is set at 45 psi...the lowest psi is the Nova 700 that worked at 90 psi..

where did you hear that thing bout the nova?

its like this....cockers a lil diff than most semi's. this gun uses pressure to shoot the gun, and another kind of pressure to cock the gun. it shoots at around 200 like tlplus84 said...but it cocks back at 35psi, cuz on a cocker, there is a front reg which regulates the amount of pressure needed to cock the gun back. so basically that 35psi thing just means dat it takes 35psi to recock the gun after every shot.

Nova is out of business now, but check out Bbtpaintball.com..i think they have it there...or p8ntballer.com

oh ok but wouldn't the air need to cock the cocker back be used to shoot the paintball

Nope. it's a pnuematically operated gun, air moves the bolt forwards and backwards independently of the air that fires the ball. Same setup on an intimidator, but lowest cocking pressure I've heard for that was 65, mine is at about 80, so that's still pretty low. All it means is the pressure that moves the guns internals, rather than use springs, like in a blowback, it uses air pressure

is it just say the 2 pis`s at seperat times? like are that just like seperating them for commeral perposes? ahhhhhhh

Predator2
03-06-2001, 02:50 PM
oh ok. so in a spyder it uses springs to move the internals but the cocker uses air. now it makes sense. But then why is it so good for that low pressure to move that bolt?

elTwitcho
03-06-2001, 02:59 PM
Because that's all you need, and the less pressure that moves your bolt, the less pressure used in anything other than firing, and the better your efficiency will be. Nearly all high end guns are pnuematically operated, and the pressures dont usually go above 150 psi

Predator2
03-06-2001, 03:03 PM
Does this low pressure of the bolt movement make for better accuracy? or is it the pressure being put behind the paintball that makes it more accurate? Im thinking its the pressure being put behind the paintball b/c it wouldn't deform the paintball as much am i right?
