I own a raptor silver eagle they work great so the other gun should work just as good i used one before and it is really accurate

I have played with a raptor before and i think they just suck. you can't really add any thing to make them better either. they simply don't have any good aftermarket parts. before you use it i recomend you take it back and get more for your dollar with a tippmann 98 or a spyder tl+

You'll be okay with your Raptor. Some people have problems with their guns, but even the most problematic of guns can be fixed when they break down. make sure you properly lubricate and clean your gun after a day of play, and you really should be okay. The raptor will perform pretty much on a similar level to any of the other entry level blow back markers (Spyder, Tippman, Piranha), but there are less upgrades available unfortunately. Until you decide to move up the ladder of paintball markers, the raptor should do you fine. The reason people bash BE alot, is because they have made some pretty bad guns, that are entirely plastic, break constantly, and dont perform too well. The raptor isnt such a gun, and I think you'll be okay.

Special equipment, no, just water, a squeegee, and a cloth. To lube your gun, you should use paintball oil. Your gun most likely runs off CO2, so the people at the pball field will fill your CO2 tank for you

my brother and my teammate had raptors. The Blue Reman Custom raptor, and the Silver EAgle raptor. Both of those guns shoot fine. the trigger pull is good. A bit on the heavy side but it's alright. The gun shoots fine untill that first time you break paint and have to pull out the bolt, and hammer to clean it out. you have to loosen that cocking knob, and that cocking knob secures the connecting pin in place. with out that pin your gun will be ****ed up because it connects the hammer to the bolt. THE DAMN CONNECTING PIN keeps breaking! if you have anytrouble it will be with that. make sure that if you ever put your gun back together that you use blue locktite on the threads of your cocking knob! make that bad boy super tight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! other then that my brother says he likes the raptor, it's his first marker

get a lapco barrel adaptor to spyder threads and get a good barrel. Lots of good reviews on barrels. Id go for CP, Lapco, or J&J ceramic if price is an issue.

yes get a barrel. that is probably the best upgrade you can do right now. Personally I prefer SmartParts barrels. but everyone has their favorites

yah i like SP barrels too, but lets be real, if he were to buy a SP barrel he might as well buy a compact. Oh yah and if I were you id sell your raptor and buy a compact because you can upgrade out the roof.

Brute force, push it, or smack it with something like a rock. Not smack in, but smack the little thumb grip in a direction so that the force opens the door. Then when you get it open, sand down the bump on the other side just a little, (too much and your door wont stay closed) and it should be easier later
