Dead Man's Walk

Last Sunday I was out playing some recball when my pin broke on my cocker (this was on the sup air field) so I reffed the next few games. Well one of my friends was playing the next game and i'm ref and he stands up and starts walking to the back of the field i almost called him out but then i realized he was doing a dead man's walk. He then ducked behind a bunker got some paint from someone and won the game. He was bragging the whole day. It was so funny b/c he just got up and pointed the gun to the ground and started walking while looking at the ground. Nice strategy.

I think thats a lame strategy (please dont flame me).

In real war, that would be like waving a white flag, then busting out with some grenades.

Its very misleading, and doesnt take any skills...
If someone did that to me one time, i wouldnt shoot them... but if they were doing the dead man's walk... i would probably shoot everyone who walks out like that from that point on...

I sprint 1/4 of a mile in 59 secs so I don't need to walk, when a paintball hits you at that speed(if it hits you) it will just bounce, unless of course you're running towards them like a tardbanger

As a occasional ref at my field, I hate the DMW. If somebody pulls that early in the day, people get paranoid and blast "out" players all day. That can make people mad. The best thing to do is to save the DMW untill the last game of the day, do it, and hop in your car and drive home!

yeah you better hop in your car quick.. better yet.. have it warmed up and ready to go. because if i catch you doing that and you dont leave fast enough.. il jump on your hood take you out the car.. and you know :)

The DMW is a very sneaky move. There are ways around it though, It does make people nervous. but it is funny as hell to watch. just my 2 cents

I am sorry for this but I had to reply,
First to Albert, This is not real war, it is paintball. never mix up the two. And FYI that tactic has been used many times on the REAL battlefield. (most likely it would get you shot in the face)
Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to LIVE.

ThaFiend 1/4 mile in 59 sec is not that fast. but keep up the good work:) Get it down to sub 50, and I will be impressed.

59 sec is I ran my first two laps for the 1600 meter race,
The 400 meter guys were doing theirs between 48-54.
But if you think five seconds is not that big of deal in a race, good on you.

I can't believe they fell for that. The rules at the fields i play are gun in the air and barrell plug in when your called out. If you don't have at least one of those two things goin for ya your toast as far as I'm concerned. It's better to nail the prick, I say this because I hate people who do things like that than to let them get away with a stupid trick.

The first time i saw the DMW was when i was a newbie and the game was going on for about 10 minuits without a single shot fired. then i got out by some guy who looked like he was just getting bored and walking off the field. But at the local field they dont allow that because people get too angry and if they get the person who did DMW the previos game they will shot himm 10+ times.
