looking for regulator on my tippman custom 98

i have a custom 98, 20oz CO2 tank, 14inch AA barrel, and remote system. last week i realized i need to do something about the inconsistancy and velocity problems i was experiencing with my gun in the cold damp weather. i have looked at an expansion chamber and a regulator. i figure that a good regulator will do all that an x chamber will do but more. so now i am looking to find a good preferably cheap regulator. i have seen some that fit on the tank thats on my back harness, some that go on the bottom of the gun, and some that act as a grip. i do not like the grip ones so that narrows the selection down. now which regulator, is not to expensive(not over 100), not to clunky(i dont want to be running into things with this), and doesnt act as a grip or handle. thanks

I have a pmi pure energy reg, andit works great. HOwever, i have no idea how to even put a reg on a tippman, especially becasue the air connects in front of where the reg would screw in. If u know how to hook up a reg to a tippman, then id recomenend the reg i have, if its possible
