 I'm a n00b in paintball, but i am planning 2 get a 98 custom w/ a flatline, 9oz CO2 tank etc... and I was wondering, for future upgrades, if i should get a trigger response system w/ the flatline, or whether it would be a waste of $$$, thanx 4 your replies :)

rt is a major waste
first off get a new barrel flatline is nice but i suggest a J&J ceramic 12" and a drop forward and also maybe a bigger tank like 12 or 20oz

Well, that was dumb of me, lol. Well, the 1st thing on my list 2 get is the flatline, i've heard good things about it's range, and a lil about its accuracy (I'm planning 2 be a running sniper aka, stalker) . and then the 16-20oz co2 tank, after that is a stock (dont care what one, i'm open for suggestions), then a hunters scope.... perhaps a new paint job 2... but i was wondering if i should also get a double trigger or response system with the set. thanx for ur previous suggestions :)

If you're going to get a flatline, don't get a response trigger. (Incidentally, I'm thinking about selling my flatline barrel, and I can give you a better price than what you'll pay for new. I've only shot about 300-500 shots through it. Email me if you're interested. cmagrum@juno.com)
A flatline is designed for those that like to "snipe", like you said. A response trigger is the exact opposite of what a "sniper" would want however. A "sniper" shoots as little as possible, so why would you want a response trigger? All you do is waste paint. Make your shots count. Forget the response trigger. It's a waste, ESPECIALLY with a flatline. (You're gonna have more breaks, more than likely, and you don't want breaks in a flatline.)
Again, if you want to save some money on the flatline barrel itself, let me know. It's not that hard to install, and I still have the directions. Just buy a stock Custom 98, and I can sell ya the flatline for cheaper.
