My friend has a TL + and I have an STS G3 vertical feed. Some good things about the STS are that it can come in vertical feed, it is easier to reassemble, has a smaller grip frame so it easier for me to handle, it is lighter by an oz or two, doesn't need adapters for upgrades like the TL Plus needs, and the company has good customer service. The bad thing about the STS is that he eats tank O-rings but that can be fixed with an on/off valve by Smart Parts. The good things about a TL + are that it has an expansion chamber, metal trigger frame, doesn't eat o-rings, more people have it, and has mostly all metal parts. The bad thing about the TL + is that it needs the adapters to upgrade some of the parts because it was made with a different unit of measurement.

Regarding the STS eating tank o-rings:
As long as you shoot the Piranha down before you take the tank off, you (probably) won't blow an o-ring. I'll admit that the stock bottomline on the STS seems to cut more rings than my aftermarket BL adapter (lapco), but if you're careful, you won't need to replace them every time. My record is 10 tank removals on one o-ring. (hey, it's not perfect, but it's better than one o-ring per tank fill)
You don't really need an on-off (they cost money, and they're another thing that can leak). Shooting your gun flat is free, and it doesn't waste that much gas after you figure out how to do it.
If you don't know what I mean, here's how:
1. The pin valve will close the CO2 tank before the ASA adapter vents CO2 past your o-ring (which is what destroys it). To find the point where your set-up closes the tank start by unscrewing the tank about a half-turn.
2. Pull the trigger (without any paint in the gun!) a few times. You should be able to notice (sound changes) shoot-down. Shoot the gun down until it won't re-cock. Now remove the tank--no more blown o-rings.
3. If you don't get shoot-down, the pin valve is still open. Give the tank another 1/8 to 1/4 turn out and try step 2 again.
You will have to experiment to find the right procedure for your gun, since pin valves and asa adapters are all slightly different and will seal at slightly different turn counts. Also, this will address blown o-ring problems, but not cut o-rings. Check for burrs in the ASA threads if you keep cutting your tank rings.

I have never had a problem breaking o-rings with my Piranha. I got my G2 BL in May and broke only 1 o-ring. The guy who fills tanks where I live gives you an o-ring if you dont have one on the tank.
