Alright, I just got my Automag as a birthday gift recently. So I am fooling around with it, not knowing what I'm doing, and I go to put the tank on. I'm also a CO2 user, I don't have anywhere near to get nitrogen or compressed air. Well, when I put the tank on everything in my room just started flying. Air was coming out of just about every hole in the gun. It came from a small hole in the side of the foregrip, it came from the joints of the bottomline, and also from the joints of the macroline. I was, ignorantly, putting on a siphon tank which the book specifically says, "Don't use siphon tanks." So does anyone have any idea if that was my problem or not? And if not, what is? Also, if you could tell me of anything I might have screwed up as a result it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

I doubt anything will be ruined. You just made things really cold using a syphon tank.

Little holes? There should not be any little holes in the foregrip. Is there a spot for another hole on the other side of the foregrip? Is it plugged up? Both need to be plugged.

For the macroline fittings, make sure the hoses are pushed in a far as they will go.

Get a normal tank and try it again.

The is a small pinhole on the right side of the foregrip right under where the, I assume macroline kit, is connected.

There shouldn't be any hole.

Did you assemble it yourself? Did the person who got it for you put it together? It sounds like there is a lack of sealent.

Hole in side of foregrip? Can we get a pic? I'm not sure what your talking about.

If there is no sealent or teflon tape around where the fittings are, use loctite 545 to permenently seal the macroline fittings in place.

Unfortunately I am not in possession of a scanner. I'm just not sure what to say about it. It was already assembled when I got it. The hole doesn't really look accidental though.

Well, I am in Iowa..............but if you want you can send it to me and I'll get it running for you. FREE, you just pay for shipping. It would only take me one day here to get it going.

I like working on markers.

i say he talking about the vert adapter........ prolly just thinks it connected to the valve somehow like a spyder........ you know? and the macros need teflon tape or somehting........

prolly just screwed in the reg/foregrip/xpansion chamber without having the macroline connected form the body to the verty adapter you know??

no offense ODB

No offense taken. I'm new to this and I've been given an expensive something I know nothing about. As far as assembly goes though, all I had to do was put the barrel in. The gun came assembled. Let's review my problems, a hole in the side of the foregrip, air shooting out of said hole and out of the joints to the two lines, and also a problem I didn't really notice until a friend pointed it out to me, the foregrip is kind of loose. You can move it back and forth a considerable distance. So there's something new to think about. Great eh? Thanks everyone.

Some aftermarket Vert ASAs have a vent hole for degassing. There should not be any gas leaking from that, the seal between the Vert ASA and the Foregrip is bad. It sounds like you should take things apart and put it all back together with teflon tape or Loctite 242.
