OK...

I want a mag. BUt do I really need a mag? I have a spyder. and I was thinking of making it go LP and making it really rock. Or I could get a minimag from this guy for under $250. But then I would want to run it on nitro (just from what you guys have said about mags on cp2). so that would put me at what . around $350 if I got a good deal on both (?) .

so I play paintball all summer long. and once I get a license (next quarter) and can then drive. I will be able to play more.

so from what I have said tell me what you think. then I will give you the other partts to the equation.

Thanks a whole bunch.

It depends on what you are looking to get out of a marker and what you feel comfortable with.

Are you happy with your Spyder? Why do you want to change?

I'm happy with my spyder.

but I would like a little higher rate of fire, and I don't want to put an electro (or any kit like that) on a simple blow back that was not ment for that purpose (imo).

I also like how it looks (but that's not a reason)

oh forget this, I don't need a minimag. I'll stay with my spyder.

Thanks anyways, but why'd you have to ask me that?

Thats a sweet deal on a Mini, I would jump on it, and sell the spyder. The stock Mini has a vertical ASA, wich will do wonders for keeping liquid out of the gun. You would basically have to shoot it upside down to get liquid in there. Unless you have a warp on it, that would be pointless, so go for it.

The main advantage to HPA on a mini is even better consistency. We did some chrony tests last time I played with my mini and a friends, that had just been setup for HPA. I had a +/- fps of 2-10 fps and he had about 1-3fps variation. Thats with each of us shooting about 20 shots. Either way, thats pretty consistent accuracy.

If you get the Mag, you will be DONE with upgrades. If you go down the upgrade the spyder path, you will end up with a nice gun, but you might spend even more money than if you had just bought the mag, and when it comes time to sell it, you will not be able to get what it is worth in upgrades.

I would even buy the mag, just to sell on e-bay. I see mini's going for alot more than that all the time. Buy the mag and sell the spyder for $100 on ebay and you will be a happy paintballer.

no, I couldn't sell the mini back on ebay. Cuz' the guy I'm buying it from buy's fix's up, and sell all types of mag's on ebay. And he would notice. and I think that is kinda cheep to do to him cuz he is a nice guy.

ok, so how come magadeath says mini's are ok on Co2, when everyone else says they arn't... is maga smarter than you guys?

If I can run the thing on Co2, and If I can sell my gun for around $100 on ebay. I think I would probobly do it.

Think in the manual for automags and minimags it says they can be both run on Co2 well (there designed for it) just get a x-chamber.

Only RT's (or retros cant remember) can be run on HPA (correct me if im wrong cos i own a automag)

You can use co2 on a Mag. It works well most of the time. You can't use co2 on an RT. Mags were invented before HPA, so yes they can be run on co2.

ROF: Has your lack of ROF ever kept you back? Playing tourneys? Rec-ball? If you are playing Rec, a lower ROF might be good to help you conserve ammo for the rest of the day.
