After a day of paintballing, I took my new phantom home and tore it apart to clean it. When I put it back together it started making a clicking noise when I tilt it back and forth. It still shoots fine but the click gets a little annoying.
So I was wondering if anyone knew exactly why this is happening? I'm thinking its either my main spring or it just needs a little WD40.

many many many informed paintball players strongly say you should NOT use WD-40 on your gun. It KILLS the o-rings and is bad for you gun in all. For about $2.50 you can get good gun oil. Get that. Don't waste all that money you paid for a phantom by using WD-40. Also for about 20 dollars at iisports.com you can get a repair kit for the phantom that has new o-rings and replace ment thumbscrewes etc. email me with questions. I own a Phantom VSC

My gun does the same thing... when degassed, i believe its the bolt that comes a little loose on the spring... when gassed up i have no problem with the clicking noise... do not fret my friend, i do believe its normal. If you ever have more questions about your phantom post on these forums.

Thanks for the information. I'll look into gun oil and it helps to know it's somewhat common.
