98 custom velocity problem

i just installed a pro-team products commando stock on my brand new 98 custom and now i can't get the velocity adjusted any higher than 250. is it possible that the stock is not puting enough pressure on the spring? what is a good spring upgrade?

it could be possible. try putitng the stock endcap on and see if it still does that. if it is the stock, either return it or get the maddmann spring kit.
