The best answer is its different with the flatline. If you want something with super distance at the expense of accuracy then the flatline is for you. If you want great accuracy with average distance look into one of the other aftermarket barrels like a J&J or Dye Excel, both can be picked up for around 45 bucks. As for the accuracy of the flatline, with a good ball, barrel match it is probably as accurate as if not more so than the stock m98 barrel.

I have a Model 98. There bad news. They work good in cold weather and dependable but the Natural specs of the gun are hideous.

there are some guys that play at our local field with flatlines, and they are both good and bad. if the wether is warm and dry they work great. if it is cold and damp, the inside of the barrel gets moistier on the inside of it and it loses it's friction and the ball can't spin. then they were breaking about every 3 balls or so, and if the didn't squigie it the balls would really curve bad. get it if you want range...but keep your stock barrel, or another aftermarket barrel. i would recomend it for rec play but definatly not tourny.
