only so many questions

I am starting to notice a trend, mainly in the barells and paint section. There are only so many questions out there and only so many answers. It seems like we are getting to the point when someone types in their question all we have to do is reply with search and lock the thread. How about we not neccissarly spoon feed people info but help them by pointing them in the right direction (ie thread forum or person) lets face it some people are just honestly too dumb to find info on their selfs even if they try.....I mean heck i didnt know what a sticky was until my 2nd month here

no no no dont get me wrong here im not complaing about threads getting locks what im wondering is why we are just typing "search closed".....for the new people who this is their first post or even first 10 post they generally dont know how to do a search on this page or even know what stickies are. You just dont push a bird out of the nest and expect it to fly you teach it..... with some education these noobs who are asking a question that we answered six months before they joined will be a valuable resource to pbreview.


how about "do a search containg (insert key word here)."
or let the people know why their thread is being closed...some closure is nice everynow and again
lets face it our search function is not the best as Andrew alread pointed out in a previous feedback question

Then why dont you actually tgo through with this idea. Give them a link to the sticky or search feature, or whatever. Dont just talk, do it.

im not a mod but i help out as much as posssible....if a thread is closed and i genuinly thing the guy needed help and didnt get it i will pm him and see what i can do or find for him.....

so yes i do

yes the mods do to an extent "they would be swamped if the spoon fed but how about cutting up the info so they can feed themselves" if that made sense

and yes we are running out of questions relating to specific things in paintball and soon we will just have to type "search" and close all threads
