Ok, I am trying to build my own mag, but i dont know if i should use a stock valve, Retro Valve, or an E-lcd frame, or a stock valve with a E-lcd, or a Retro Valve with a E-lcd if its possible....Im so confused...Just let me know which combination would be best. I am looking for a high rate of fire, but i also want it to be tourney legal. Also, will all valves fit in all mag bodies? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

they should fit in all bodies........ but get a hyperframe and not a elcd........ hyperframe = better quality........... rt valve is optional

would a hyperframe w/ Retrovalve shoot a lot faster than a hyperframe w/ a stock valve?

A retro valve is capable of shooting a lot faster. I dont know how fast you shoot though. I dont know the numbers off the top of my head. You'll get no shootdown with a retro valve, you might get some with the stock a.i.r. valve. Also keep in mind that you need nitro with a retro valve.

The retro valve will fit in all old automag bodys, the rt valve fits the newer rt and E-Mag and sfl or modular bodys.

I think building a mag from scratch I would get a retro, put it in a Minimag black teflon body and add a hyperframe to it. Or just buy an E-mag, wich would be much better.:D

why spend $250-300 on an RT valve, $150-$250 on a hyperframe, and another $300-$400 on a powerfeed automag??for that price you could buy an E-mag......and that would be a much better gun anyways.
if you really want to "build a gun"....then go with a hyperframe, rt valve(retro) and a powerfeed body(yes...the minimag bodies are nice, but a little heavier, and automags are heavy enough).

he said he building one from scratch not tricking out a minimag....... minimag body $180, hyperframe $200, retro valve $250, sear (wholesetup) $15...... body rail $15, barrel.......(varies)...... that way you save alot of money.........

Megadeth, a slight correction. The E-Mag/ReTro/RT Pro are all the same valve. Only the original RT valve is not compatible with all other Mag Bodies. The new E-Mag Extreme Modular bodies are valve compatible with an original A.I.R. Valve.

There is a slight change in the E-Mag body that will not allow you to use a normal Mag Body on an E-Mag rail. However, you can use an E-Mag Body on a normal Mag mainrail.
