The term 'ghey' and the RP/Politcs forums...

Can we please get his term to be 'legimate' in the religion and politics forums? The vast majority of the posters who regularly participate in discussions are mature people who use the term when talking about religion or current events in the country. It gets really aggrivating to have to edit all your posts because the word "g a y" is bleeped out, and I think that it is actually sort of rude that the word "g a y" (especially when used in proper context) is frowned upon.


Mods, I don't know how you guys feel about this (or if it's even possible to change it) but I'd appreciate the consideration of making this word not a "swear filtered" term. Thanks.

The reason for replacing the words with a blank as opposed to asteriks is too keep the site's appearance cleaner as well as forcing you to try to think of more creative ways to express yourself.

"You're a dumb **** and full of ****." is just a juvenille way of talking.

"You make Carrot Top look like Einstein and your opinions are laughable at best" is considerably better with plenty of room for improvement still.

I don't think so. I think the forum as a whole has just one list.

It takes a little longer, but if you are having a legitimate discussion, I don't think you'll mind.
