The bushy isn't any heavier than any other marker. It has a really thin profile and balances really well with a good drop. I have a NW Paintball drop, a Kapp Drop Zone II, and a CP flame drop that i switch around on my bushy and i found that the larger drops like the NW and the Kapp balance really well and make ther marker seem lighter than it really is. As far as front to back, it seems much shorter than my spyder, The reg. is pushed right up to the trigger guard, not placed way forward. It might be a bit taller than some markers, but when compared directly its not much taller. I use a 90 CI nitro duck most of the time, which balances nice. You could use an aluminum barrel such as a CP 1 piece or a J and J ceramic to lighten it up, but i found my J and J two piece with the stainless back balances the front of the marker more since it is heavier. You have to play around and try other peoples set ups to see what is going to work for you.
As far as the new bushys taking preset tanks, they will. I asked an ICD tech about that when i ordered my marker from them to make sure i could use my preset, and they said it was no problem. Besides after a while you might look into an aftermarket reg and they have no problems with presets.
I say try one out, you'll love it.

well the bushy is light and has a high ROF. they are slightly taller than most guns, but i put a low rise on mine and that helped a little. i have a mac dev reg on my gun (Gladiator) and i like it alot, its very consistent and keeps up with my gun quite nicely. the newer bushies will do fine with a preset tank (i think 4th gen and newer) but the gun is more compact than (shorter) than most guns too, so it makes a great gun for someone small or someone who likes to be up front.

how reliable and whats the maintence like?

maintenance is pretty simple, theres not much to it. you dont even need to oil the bolt. you should oil the hammer though. if you want to keep your consistency good with the stock reg, you can clean that. its really how well you want to take care of your gun . . .

well i have NEVER heard of this happening, and even if it did it would give you an excuse to buy an aftermarket trigger and make your gun even better. i dont see how it would snap  the trigger is very light so you shouldnt be pushing on it enough to break it anyway, i would say its user error:rolleyes:

i am sure they would fix that (hopefully) on the new models, but 1mm trigger pull is not that much different than 1.5mm. And if you get it to short you can't fire it faster, it is hard to make a 1mm movement 10-12 times a second, so a little slack is good.

I've had my Bushmaster For about 1 1/2 months and am loving it. It is all stock except for the grips and trigger. On Thursday i had an Eclipse Blade trigger installed and am very happy. I can kep up a 8 BPS rate of fire for about 10 seconds. I play Front and am 5/6 160 pounds, a somewhat large target. I play almost everweekend and so far no problems. Although i heard about the Regulators spring going to poop. Is this true? Also, mine is the LCD version and the screen is awesome! no looking at my grips during the middle of the game.

well richy is running his stock reg on his bushy, and he says its actually pretty consistent. he said if you keep it clean there shouldnt be problems. i am using a gladiator on mine so i dont know . . . ya ive been thinking about a new trigger, but i dont think i need it, i can shoot very fast with it now. i was able to out shoot my ric2k on my last outting . . .

usally, you move you finger a little away from the trigger when you really fire fast, just watch as you try to pull the trigger really fast, your finger will move from the trigger (just a little bit, maybe .5 mm or less)

well i must just be different, i dont really release the trigger when pulling it, i rest my finger on the trigger and when i shot i either shoot once, or just wiggle my finger really fast. my finger never lifts off, my trigger never sticks, and i can get a very high ROF out of it . . .

You probably wiggle it side to side a bit.. You have stock frame right? So there is some side/side play?

well there is a little side to side play, but when i have my finger on the trigger and am shooting i don't notice it. i felt a little more on a stock bushy that i help at my field last time. this might have less cause it was vaporized and is adjusted to be a very short trigger . . . i dunno, i like it ;)
