Ok, Will an upgrade from a stock barrel increase Range/Distance/accuracy?

Ok, I have a 9" Stock Barrel on my Viewloader Genesis (Good gun considering its a BE, hehe). My paintballs seem to drop a little after 30-40 feet. My velocity is at around 300 fps....would getting a 14" to 16" J and J/Dye/Smart Parts increase my accuracy and make the ball straighter? Thanks!

Also, I have spent laborious hours online looking at the right barrel. MY mind has not been made up....J and J ceramic barrels sell for 40 bucks for a 14"...I can get a Dye Aluminum Barrel (14") for 40...or a teardrop for 50??? What kind of barrels do you use?

It will increase accuracy and quitness, but it wont do anything for distance unless its a flatline.

well......yes it will ..and .....no it won't...

any upgraded barrel from stock is almost always a ggd thing...but what you need to consider is the type of paint you use and it's bore size....and you need to get a barrel that has that bore size....a good paint to barrel match is what you need to get better range and accuracy...

as for what barrel that should be....well it all depends on who you ask and how much money you have....I say you should have at least two barrel

a small and med bore...Like a Lapco big shot (med) and Lapco autospirit (small bore)...like 50 bucks each.....good choices for the budget minded....

i think u should get either a Lapco Bigshot or a Custom Products both excellent guns AND they look way better than the j&j ceramics
Bigshot-$50 alum.(black) $64 SS(silver)-both 11.5"
CP-$35 alum. (blue,black,silver,red,green)-from like 10"-18" (i'd get a 12" if i were u)

i also reccomend the lapco big shot, looks good, very light, good price, and with a good paint match has incredible accuracy. no barrel (except a flatline) will increase the range of your shots.

yeah the flatline will only do that for you. ive shot one and MAN! that thing rocked! i just got an all american stainless steel and they're supposed to be great ill tell you if it is

I've got a DYE Aluminum and love it. I also like the Big****, er Bigshot.
