depends what kind you get. if it is meant for halos, then no. try an adjustible feed neck.

i sanded down my evo2 when i had stock feedneck. then i just got a check it clamping no rise, and evo2 fits fine. if you sand it and you are gonna get an aftermarket feedneck, get a clamping feedneck to be safe. www.paintballgateway.com carries check-it clamping no rises, i highly recommend them. they're great product and they look nice.

if your going to get the egg , sand it down if you need to, then just get a clamping rise later. Or better yet, save the neck, and just buy an adjustable feedneck before you get the egg. I suggest the SP Twister Feedneck or the CCM Clamping Rises.
