I personally think that the vulcan is a big waste of time and money, like i said your better of buying paintballs other than buying this gun, if your just starting to play paintball and u need a good gun for cheap go for the spyder, they are great guns and are not a waste of money at all because u can always upgrade them when u get more money. So dont go out and buy this gun save your money.

ps-i have found the talon to work way better than the vulacn!:blah: :blah:

I thought the vulcan was made by Brass Eagle? Anyways, it's fun to screw around with in the back yard and for outlaw ball but I wouldn't ever play with it at an actual field. As for the quality, like I always say, you get what you pay for.

$10? i got mine on clearance at walmart
bought 6 of em at $3.75 each
well worth the money, if only to get people to try pb
anything that gets paint in the air (short of throwing)
should be worth $4

However, Everyone wallet isn't the same. And little newbies need to start somewhere, Why not here! If my two sons were just getting started (and were alot younger, they're in collage) let's say 7 or 8 years old this would be a perfect marker. If they showed the proper respect and care for the sport then I'd advance them to the next level, So often something new wears off after just alittle time with ppl, why throw money away.
Think of it this way. When you were little and first started riding a bike I bet it wasn't a Mongoose was it!

Trying not to gun-bash, but I dare say throwing paint is a better idea than shooting a vulcan. I just don't feel safe shooting one of those things. It might explode in my hand.

If we're talking about the pump here, I'd have to say it's a pretty solid marker. I've had one for about 7 months and it's never done anything to me. I just use it in my backyard. It comes with a stock (which can hold two speed tubes and two 12 grams), a fiber-optic foresight and even one of those pistol-style backsights which lines up perfectly with the foresight. It's an incredible value and perfect aiming, I think. For the price, get it. It was my first marker and now I'm saving up for a stingray (don't laugh). The only downside to the Vulcan is that it's a pump and has a really hard pump. Our team sniper brought one to a game and was out in thirty seconds.

I agree with Greenfeather. Although, our sniper probably won't, I like this pump. Still, with the Canadian dollar the way it is, I think I got ripped off (I payed $20 CDN).
