I'm getting an Icon Z and this assault block (http://www.paintballgateway.com/ic15deasblki.html).
Can I use CO2 with a regulator or is it for N2/HPA? I'm EXTREMELY new to this sport so please understand.

read the sticky in the air systems forum.
Heres a basic run down...
co2 needs space to expand to air... otherwise the liquid co2 can damage the internals of your gun. Thats why there is an Expansion Chamber.
regulators can handle co2, but not too well. Some can handle them better than others.. it depends on which one. But regulators work perfectly with air, since there is no liquid throwing things off.
Now heres the exception... you can get an "anti-siphon" tube installed into your co2 tank. Basically its a pipe installed into your tank that curves up, sucking in only the air, and no co2. This is much more efficient than an expansion chamber. And since there is only air, it can work just fine with a regulator.
Regulator: Air, anti siphoned co2
Expansion Chamber: regular co2
