Hey,
Just a couple of quick questions..

1. Have any of y'all ever heard of or had experience with an Outlaw 2 pump? If so, likes, dislikes, etc.

2. Have any of y'all ever heard of a pump gun called "Brute"...and if you have would you know of a place to buy them?

I have about $60 to spend on a pump gun right now. I was interested in the sl-68, the outlaw 2, and the trracer. Do any of you have experience with these guns? Which gun would you buy or would you save up for a nicer pump....I just want one as a backup/loaner/fun gun :)

Thanks,
Matt

if the SL-68 is built anything like tippy's other guns, it'll last longer than you =^)
I've used trracers a few times, and have been impressed by it's performance.... esp. since all the ones I shot were ancient and unused/unkept field rentals. a bit loud, since the barrels are unported, but shot well enough that I could tear it up w/a stick feed and 12grams ^_^

I say if you only have 60 dollars to spend on a pump gun get the Kingman Hammer from 888paintball.com or something. It's about 50 dollars. for 60 it's hard to find a good gun. I suggest save up ALOT of money and get a Phantom! /not ok peace

Thanks for the advice...is the hammer very accurate and loud? Can anyone tell me about the gun in the picture below...it's supposed to be an outlaw 2....it looks a lot like another pump gun that one of my old school pb friends has and his is incredibly accurate.....thanks for the info :)

a lot of the nelson based guns will generally shoot about the same... esp. the 'low end' ones.
If you get a chance to look at a used pump before you buy, check the barrel finish (inside). some of the older ones might not be well machined, and aftermarket might be all but non-existant.
The hammer should be a decent gun, but I've never shot one, nor am I a large fan of kingman's stuff, but that's just me.

Since you're in the market for a loaner gun, there's really no need for a phantom. The one thing you OUGHT to look for in a nelson gun is an adjustable bolt, for velocity... swapping cut springs can become a fearsome headache when trying to chrono in, believe me

hey good choice to go with pumps! the traccer is an ok gun it is very inexpensive and has some ok upgrades(barrels and such)i would recomend it but since i like aci better than pmi i would say go for a maverick even though they are the same thing.

If you have the choice between the SL and the hammer(Tracer, maverick, etc.).
I recommend you the SL.
I have a SL-68 II and my brother have a Maverick and i prefer my SL.
It s indestructible, i have a old one and he work as well as the new Maverick of my brother.
One of our friends try the 2 markers and prefer the SL.

If you could find a old SL-68 II at the price of a Maverick, go with the SL
