Why do you want it to shoot faster? The maximum limit is 300 fps. I set mine around 280. What is it shooting at now?

Well, unless you're shooting below 280 or so, you shouldn't really need to. If you've got a Spyder you can buy a spring kit......otherwise you can cut a few coils off your mainspring......if you don't want to do either you're kinda left with the velocity adjuster.

thats weird if you arn't firing fast enough. Your spring is prolly just weak, just grab yourself another one from your local shop or field.
With a normal spring you will easily hit 300, and you dont want to be over that as thats the standard. At least around my area, im not sure about the field(s) you play at.

My boys decided they wanted to see what their Spyders 'would do' too.
Well they got to about 400 fps and balls started self destructing from the blast of air.
To increase the velocity you use more air / pressure.
In a blow back marker like a spyder that increases the velocity of the recocking mechanism as well.
It blows back with much greater force.
It really hammers the internals of your marker.
It is not designed to take that hammering.
It is really NOT a good idea to shoot hot for LOTs of reasons.
If I catch you shooting hot and the ref won't check you then LOOK OUT the rest of the day.
I can jump my autococker velocity to 400 fps in about 1 second and sic my full auto on you *** when I bunker you.
Oh, I thought you were saying "Ouch!" not "Out".
I'm hard of hearing and with that full auto blasting away in my ear, it is hard to hear.
And I can switch it back in 1 second to 290 fps right in front of you and a ref without either of you noticing.
And autocockers aren't supposed to be able to do that on the field so I get away with it. I have my marker set up so I can switch from my 12" Dye to my Zniper set up with a 18" zilenced barrel and autorangefinder in about 2 minutes.
Change barrels and you have to re chrono and that 18" is a gas hog cause it has 12" of porting.
My mod allows me to not have to rechrono on the field. It is calibrated to 290 fps for each barrel.
Refs and experienced players can eyeball a marker doing over 350 on the field. Just don't start.
