I've played paintball for a few weekends now and I notice what my technique was shaping up like...I pick one spot and I stay quiet. I wait for a long person to just walk in front of me and then I unload. Last weekend I got into some trench warfare. Me and two other guys were behind a log and paint was flyin like you wouldn't belive. One ball deflected off the forehead thingy on my mask an one ball hit a limb and kept goin and made a weird *** sputtering noise...well anyway I dont play speedball I play rec in heavily wooded areas in missouri. I don't get many confimed kills but I talked to the other team today and the whole time they said they were out there they were always wondering if I was behind them. In anyone's experience in wooded play is it better to run all over the place and shoot tons of paint and hope for a hit.. or stalk the enemy and have them thinking about you in the back of their minds??

I'll run around alot this weekend see what happens.Another thing is has anyone got an all american barrel.I didn't like my teardrop this past weekend. It couldn't handle a ballbreak very well.even though it was 40* outside and it was wet. Last thing...does anyplace sell SS barrels that aren't bright and shiney??? do they come in black or something??

When i play i set a place where i wanan get before the enemy gets there. Then i run my *** off to get there then wait or sometimes run even farther up then you can get them cornered then take them out. If i dont do that i usely run around and waste paint.(sometimes)

If you play as part of a team, and you've found your niche inside the team, then stick with what works. If your team just happens to be whoever is playing that day, try some different tactics. April's APG has a good article on small unit tactics to use when playing Rec Ball in the woods. You might want to check that out.

I play rec in a wooded area most of the time too. I cannot stand those people who do that but, it is fun to spatter them with paint. I always play a forward position usually i run with one or two other people. when we find someone sitting and waiting one of us stays and has a fire fight with that person hiding. the others go around and flank the sitter! i love doing that because they never know what hit them.
