:pissed: I am OUTRAGED at Good Morning America!!! They did a peice on the tank malfunctions, but the graphic was an UZI (MAC-10 for all you CS fans out there)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is NOT THE WAY THAT PEOPLE WANT PAINTBALL TO BE PERSCIEVED!!! I encourage everyone to write an e-mail or letter to GMA telling them your dissapointment!!!!!!!! :pissed:

well paintball has been thrown around allot by the media but every single time what kind of death causing accidents? FREAK ACCIDENTS!!! if you read almost any paintball related death it has somwhere that it was a freak accident.....but ya know what anyone that trashes paintball has never been or they are old and see it as dangerous same thing as like punk music or video games but its our choice so who cares?

Paintball is always percieved as a "violent" sport by the media. It most likely won't change anytime soon. Get used to it.

Haha, well on FoxNews Channel on The Morning Show they actually helped paintball a bit (tad though). Madcow, the radioguy, announced that him and William Shakner (how ever you spell his name, or Spok) play paintball and is going to go to some paintball charity event in Chicago for families of Cops who died. I think it's kinda strange seeing Spok playing paintball, oh well I'm not a treky anyways.

Its funny... everytime paintball is on tv.. someone makes a thread about it saying how its bad for our image. Tv can just never seem to get paintball right. I dont know why. King of queens they only wore the lens part.. and mos tthe game they had it up and only pulled it down when someone started shooting. And they had scopes and all.. its like take some time and go look at a real game in progress.. lol

But see... we need to learn that media will most likely not deture anyone away from paintball nore make them want to play anymore. If you want to do it... you will regardless of what u see on tv. I meen people know drugs are bad for them... but they do it anyhow.

Well, because in a way it is. At it's base it's a skirmish game in which players shoot each other with airguns. Trying to foll yourself by ccalling them "markers" and saying you "mark" people does not change this basic fact.

but who watches Fox for news.

Someone who wants a break from the liberal bias of the other networks.

Oh yes, and to the orginal poster: Mc-10s and Uzis are two completely different types of sub machineguns.

Yea. I didn't have enough time to make corections or look up the name. I always thought he played spock. I don't watch Star Trek anyways so I don't know much about it.

I think it's cool how many famous people play paintball. I really think that all of this crap against paintball doesn't hurt it much at all, just ignore it. It's no big deal.

Liberal media bias does exist.

Fox is not as far rght as you probably think. The fact that they give the right wing point of view any play time at all makes them seem to be right wing when compared to the other networks.

I think that your very off topic.... There's no reason to be "OUTRAGED!!!!!!" about it. Trust me, this wouldn't hurt paintballs rep one bit. If someone dieing from a tank valve "blowing up" in paintball and didn't hurt the rep very much I doubt that a 30 second clip on paintball would.
