I'm gonna be playing frotman with my Omen and I was wondering what everyone thought about the best front man hopper for the Omen? Is an Egg too big for a front man and does it make your gun unbalanced and heavy in the back? I was thinking of getting a Rico AK because I don't shoot over 13bps anyways.:blah:

egg. but if you are bent on a rico, at least get a 2k or something.

No, the egg doesn't make your gun off balance. The Egg is most likely the best for you but if you must get something like a Halo B and buy a extra shell cause they break easily but are fast. Ricko's I ono, I herd that they are a bit loud but I don't think that would affect you much if your going to be playing front man or playing woodsball. So go with what ever you want but I still suggest you getting the egg its a really good hopper.

the egg has the potential in case you would ever need it

for your situation i would just get a REloader

np, And yeah I use a Empire With my Omen too and it works just fine. But for almost 20$ more a non agitating egg isnt bad either.

Eggs are the best you can get for an Omen. Halo B's will feed too hard and get balls jammed between the cam reeds.

I am thinking about the Rocochet Apache...it's pricey, but it's lighter than other hi-speed hoppers, and 18 bps is all I'll ever need. Plus, the game timer is nice.
I'm wondering whether it will be too tall, though, as it is higher than previous Ricos...hopefully this can be solved with a no-rise...
For now, though, I will do what you should-stick with Revy/Reloader.

Yeah, I was gonna get a Rico Apache but it's too much money. After I buy new barrel, nitro, and loader it's gonna be more than my gun! I haven't bought an Omen yet but soon once I save some money....I just looked at a new one at Ace Hardware for 425! They're a little heavy and big but the trigger is awesome! I don't see why everone wants a blade trigger it looks easy to walk. Anyways thanks again guys. Can't wait to get an Omen over my modded Spyder!

I live in Northeastern Illinois, the Ace Hardware in Richmond has guns because of the nearby PMI factory and they get them cheap too!

we just got a apache in stock at our store, we wantsed to see how fast it really was.

We but bran new batteries in it and put it on a dm4 and used mid evil paint. We were only able to get about 14 bps out of it, the first string was 13 bps. They inflate there BPS rating even higher then the evo 2! Oh and it cost's more! ($100)

Yeah, on warpig.com I saw the propellers or blades or whatever you want to call them and they were all small and cheap looking. They looked like they stuck weed whacker wire on the spinner. Cheap piece of overpriced crap.....I'm getting an egg!:D

Aghh.. after all this, I was so looking forward to getting something different than an Egg (Apache...) but, after considering my options once again, I suppose the Rico just isn't the smartest choice, especially considering the rather extravagant price of $100. Also, Eggs can run quite cheap...70 new=50 used...

(RIP Apache...for now)

Oh yeah, and I can still have something moderately unique- dye a clear Eggy red! Haha!

red takes about 5 hours, and a bunch of people already have it. do something cooler.

hmm...in that case...red and black swirl would be ideal, but I'm sure it would be hard as crap to do. Something with red and black, for sure...striped...i would do half red and half black, but then I might as well just do both halves of a clear Egg.

IMO, they definitely need to come out with more than black, clear and smoke...if people are dyeing their hoppers, you'd think it would be fairly obvious to VL that there is a market for colored Eggy shells.
