Why are you getting a barrel adapter? Do you already have the barrel or something? I would get a Bigshot, CP, or J&J Ceramic instead of the Whisper. **edit: nevermind I thought you were talking about the 98**

If the A-5/Spyder thread adapter is anything like other common thread adapters, skip it and get a barrel that is threaded for the A-5. If you are dead set, get a Cocker/A-5 adapter, at least that'll be more useful if you get a high end gun.
SKip the Whisper too, you can get better for not that much more or even the same money. Big Shot, J&J Ceramic and CP 1 Piece are all better and not much more cash. Get an Anti-Siphon line for the CO2 as well(assuming you don't or won't run remote).

Since you will be using the RT, you need to do something about the CO2.
1) Use a remote.
2) A anti-siphon tank will be nice.
3) Never use No.1 and No.2 together.
Pick up a Expansion Chamber or a Palmer Regulator if you have some extra funds.

well.... he is getting the RT. And you could get both if you wanted too. My friend has that on his 98. Yeah, I would agree with the RVA. They are much more convinient than pulling out an allen wrench everytime.

From my experience this is what i would get:
low pressure kit from 888paintball
comes with nitro, lpk, and dt
or
12-14" dye UL (85.00)
cheap Nitro (120.00)
E-grip (120)
and a cp reg (55.00)

You said you want the RT, but look into the e-grip, too. They are both good firepower upgrades but it comes down to how you play. If your field allows, burst/full-auto/etc., get the e-grip, if you go to many tournaments or want a short trigger pull, get the e-grip. If none of the above, go with the RT.
There are many barrels too chose from, but it all comes down to what you like. Read the reviews and ask people around your field what type of barrel they have and if you might like it.
If you can afford it, get nirto, it solves all your Co2 problems.

Just bought my A5 a few weeks ago. Didntlike the stock barrell after the first game so bought a 14" SmartPArts Progressive which was alot more acurate but still lacking in distance. However It was cheaply priced at $30. I havent had any chops yet and Im shooting every paintball made thru it from the premiums to the cheap eggs. Premiums do fly straighter than eggs .. No kidding huh
Not sure how fast I can pull the trigger. 12 times a second for the rated feeder speed seems like overkill to begin with and why waste half the paint at that speed it will prolly only be hitting dirt?
I think if anything ... Id save up for the Flatline or another similiar premium barrel ? any comments from the flatine user's .. I'd like to hear them !!

oh boy do I have a wish list lol. (look at my sig)
I would reccomend not getting the R/T if you wanna play in tourneys or somethin. I mean the r/t is sweet don't get me wrong. I've had it for a while it's just when it comes down to it i don't think it's worth it. It's just this little piece of metal that pushes your trigger back up quickly. Like double you tee ehff mate?! I payed 70 bucks for this?! Just save your money and get an e-grip. You could probably get a used one for 80-100
