Has anyone ever played paintball with one of their parents? My dad decided he wants to play with us tomorrow. Nows my chance to finally get back at him for every time I've been told to clean my room or take out the trash. I think it will be fun. He thinks he can get out there and just "snipe" us like he's using a real rifle, har har har. I can't wait!

I've played with my dad a few times. People hate gettin shot by an old guy. You'll have fun.

my dad got into paintball for a while. His fisrt time out he used my A-5 and i used my 98 custum. He liked my A-5 so much he payed for half of my impulse, nitro tank, and halo b. He also went out and got a flatline for him self. I dint mind having my dad play. Payed for everthing. Ahh there is notin like seein the lookthe person he raised and gave life to you after bunkering them. It also kinda funny trying to talk him out of climbing a tree so he can "snipe" ( thank god he dint, he ended up hihding in a bush instead). But he cant play for a while due to certian thnigs. but he stills pays for my stuff now cuz he understanda how much fun it is and understands why i spend so much.

Since my dad fought in the Vietnam War, he thinks he's the best and knows everything about paintball. He sucks at making strategies and worse, when I used to go to this woodsball outlaw field, my dad would lecture all the other paintballers and try to get them to do his strategy. He sucks at paintballing. I've seen him play one game and he makes up so many excuses as to why he didn't win. Just soooooo many excuses and ever since that one time (which was like six months ago), all he'll ever talk about is that time and lectures me on stuff about what he did.
Did I mention that my dad yells at people if they shot me? It's embarrassing and annoying. Plus, he wants to get into paintball so that he could follow me around and "protect" me. Blah... :confuse:

I played with my dad once, (first time I played, we all used old school sheridans with "sniper" barrels.......which were 6" long). Anyhow, I shot my dad twice (at the same time), on hit him, and lifted up his coat, and shirt and the other one hit him bare skin........lol it was funny. Father/Son is great, if your dad is cool I guess....and doesn't make a fool of you.
And that's funny Cindy.....lol too protect you.....watch some kid bunker you, and after the game he beats the **** out of him, lmao.

ok so i'vve asked my dad to come paintballing with us and he was like sure lets go at the beach. its my family's property and me and my cousin and brother play in the woods. so we go out to the beach and we get there and he's like oh no i wore shorts i can't play. he's done it a few times. but it don't matter i just pinch the back of his arm really hard and then he chases me around our house for 30 minutes then he gets tired and watches tv.

My father usually works or is busy with other things when I paintball.
I did notice that most of these fathers seem to be have the smart strategy. They are aggressive, don't waste paint, and they are not in packs. Rushing works great in rec play.

My mom's boy friend already plays with me. But now, my mom wants to play. Because she use to hunt in Wisconsin when. She said when she was younger she had a pretty good shot. But, what she doesn't realize is that paintballs don't travel very straight like a real rifle.

I think paintball is one of the best father-son activities around. Of course, this also includes uncle-nephew, mom-daughter, stepdad-stepson, etc.
It's one of the very few activities where both can compete at an even level. Being taller/stronger/faster doesn't really help much. In fact, being smaller is usually an advantage.
I think those of you who play with your dads should be very grateful for the time you get to spend with him. For those of you who don't get the chance because your dad doesn't play, I highly encourage you to try getting him out. If your dad isn't around or is too busy, talk to a favorite uncle or maybe a friend's dad would join your group.
And like someone else said, getting a "grownup" to play could help you with some of your expenses. They might be willing to pay for the paint or at least give you a ride to the field.
Encourage more adults to play. It's good all around.

well..... the first time i went to a speedball place in calgary, it was just me my Dad and my brother, Im the only one in my family that plays paintball... by the end of it they where hurting and i think that kinda put my dad off of the idea. Mostly because i shot him in the hand and that hurts like none other.

I never have actually played with my parents. I've wanted to ever since my dad shot me in the ear (i had a mask on but still lost my hearing for 20 minutes in that ear) to get him back:D

Back when I first started paintballing, nobody I went with could drive so we had to bum a ride off my friend's dad everytime. This guy was so cool, he loved the game and was damn good. He ended up buying himself a Flash, but he messed up his hip before he ever got to use it. Man, I miss playing with that dude :(. And he was so much cooler than his whiny brat of a son, we only invited that kid because his dad was so awesome.
But if my dad ever played, it would not end well. My dad would start crying if he got shot, then throw the marker in frustration. Plus he can't even run a hundred yards, so he'd have a heart attack and a hernia before we even got out to the field.

Whenever we play woodsball my dad likes to plays with us. Alot of my friends dads play too. It's fun when we have "kids vs adults" games, we usually beat them then they make up a bunch of excuses why they lost.
Actually, one guys mom likes to play. She plays alot and is actually pretty good.

My dad played for the first time a little over a year ago. He was good, very agressive and played it smart.
As I'm past the 35 mark, many of my friends I play paintball with are fathers and some are mothers. Some are bringing their kids into paintball soon, others are already planning for it. (One friend is already planning for the day when his daughter is old enough to play. And take martial arts courses, and go hunting with him. I expect she might do something with her mother at some point...)
