I looked over a few auto cockers and i found the WGP2k one for $340. I have $350. I can buy it, but it would be 0% additions on it, not even a freaking tank....Is it really worth it to save up to get a cocker, or should i stick to my TL+ plans?

get a tl plus. Cockers are a pain to clean and are hard to understand for some people b/c of the complex design. Although if youre very mechanicly inclined and have fun looking over drawings of parts and constructions, then the cocker is perfect for you.

Its not the understanding part, its the $$$ part ;) And is it worth it?
It depends. How much are you into paintball? Do you plan on entering tournaments?
If you plan on entering tourneys and you want a cocker.. i'd save up and get an electro. Cockers take too much maintenance incomparison to newer 'guns. The design is proven, but its becoming obsolete. If it takes more than 10 minutes to fix, or maintain, its not worth it. Especially because there's always something better.
If you're just getting into paintball, or have no desire to climb the tourney ladder, get the TL and trick it out. Spyders are nice, long lasting guns.

yeah just look at some of the setups that there are in this forum alone...there's alot of variety that can be put into a spyder.

I'd take a stock cocker over any low end gun any day of the week. I have a M98 with enough add-ons that I could have bought an Cocker. If I had it to do all over again I would definately go with the Cocker. But, I can't justify the cost of a new Cocker for rec play where as I can usually justify spending 30 to 50 bucks a month in upgrades etc. The cost to upgrade the spyder to where you want it will be so much cheaper than to upgrade a cocker, but I would have to say that IMO a stock cocker with a J&J barrel (estimated cost of 340+45=$385.00) is going to be a better gun than any $400 M98 or spyder/spyder clone.

now that i think about it, get a spyder because even if you wanted to go into tournoments you could still make your spyder electric. I used mine in a tourny a month back, and i held up just fine against angels and tricked out cockers.

I have a spyder and I like it. I don't play hard core tournaments so i guess i don't need the cocker but i play at least once a week. My friend is getting one, and it's driving me nuttz! I love the sound of cockers and it's amazing how fast those things can shoot. maybe you should be like me and do your research on a E LCD trigger frame thingy. Cockers are very sweet. i wouldn't mind getting one if it didn't cost so much.

this is odd, i went to bbt, and almost everywhere i see warnings to use ANTI-SIPHON tanks if your using a a cocker with c02 and a bottomline. So i see a BBT package ( The first one here (http://www.bbtpaintball.com/cocker.html))
I think thats a nice deal, but i might was well get everything individually. But my question is, why arent they including an anti-siphon tank? It just looks like some cheap tank.
Alright, is N2 a priority over C02?

I don't think anti-syphon tanks cost that much. I run c02(i can hear you all snickering) and I have had no problems with it, but that might be because I have an expansion chamber. N2 tanks are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of my budget, they are enormously expensive if you want one that will give you more shots than a 9oz c02 tank. If you don't play in the cold than you shouldn't have a problem with c02.
