spray paint my barrel? PLEASE HELP ME

can i spray paint my barrell? will it affect the performance of the gun? if i am painting my gun, should i even use spray paint? what should i not try to hit when i am painting?

DONT PAINT YOUR BARREL it will flake and chip off plus you will get over-spray in through the porting holes (not good) :( have it powder coated or hard anodized:)
