View Full Version : Serious problem?

My understanding is that the incident in which the woman was killed by a CO2 tank was because the valve screwed out out of the tank instead of out of the ASA of the gun. I now know of 4 other incidents, just locally and recently, short of the valve coming all of the way out of the tank before it was caught. Here is the clincher. In all of these incidents, IT WAS THE SAME BRAND OF TANK some of them new or near new. This sounds like a possible manufacturer problem and maybe a reason for a recall? Has anyone else here had or witnessed this problem with any tanks lately?

I don't want to say a brand name at this time, but I think it is the same company which had the burst disc problem a couple of years back where they didn't have a hole in the burst disc plug. Just check them all for now.

Fool just say the damn brand name.. what can you get in trouble for??? jeeze
do you really think your telling us will hurt their buisness or something?
how about you dont call him a fool.... he is just wanting to see if it's a strange coincidence or that these tanks are faulty. no need to flame him. if others have the problem, then it's a good chance the tanks are faulty and there should be a recall.

seriously dude, stop being a weener and tell us. what are you waiting for, another misinformed person to use one of these tanks so you can prove your theory? it would make more sense if you just shared what you thought, instead of waiting for it to happen again.

Maybe the shop in the area only sells one kind of tank and that's what most of the people have.

Ok, fine. Some of you probably don't understand about litigation and how miserable a lawyer can make your life even if you are telling the truth and are completely correct, but.....these 4 tanks were Pure Energy. None of them had been tampered with or had valves changed. Like MrBo siad, I am curious if it is more than a coincidence. I had thought about that too, Raptorz922. Maybe just a high concentration of the same brand of tank.

You can't prove defamation by way of hearsay or personal belief. You need to prove intent to do damage to the name or reputation of the subject, so relax. The maker of Pure Energy won’t be sending a lawyer to your door anytime soon.
If in fact you have viable proof of multiple similar Pure Energy tank malfunctions, all on the same type of new or near-new tanks, I’m sure the manufacturer will be eager to have this information so they can rectify the problem immediately. You see, when there is a dangerous product on the market its both the responsibility of the customer as well as the manufacturer to notify one another of the danger. Anything less would be irresponsible, and since you seem so worried about litigation, could leave you open them to part of the responsibility.
I would contact Pure Energy and give them all the information you have on these four incidents you speak of. That is the only responsible thing to do, as opposed to posting a warning on a message board and then refuse the key piece of information.
