note to the mods: (sorry, i know i posted this thread in the electro marker forum but i decided to moveit. i wont do it again but just dont think that i'm spaming)

hi,
i will be upgrading to a high end marker some time soon and i am looking into the impulse. i was just wondering weather the electronic eye sensor is really worth the extra money? will i be alright with a standard impulse and a vl revolution? in terms of chopping balls. (that's all the electro eye does right?)

Syn, depends on what you want, how much you want to spend, etc.

Do you play tourney? If so, then the Vision Eye will be a lifesaver...as long as it is turned on. ;)

I, myself, did not get the Vision because, 1, I didn't have enough money at the time of the purchase and 2, I am not playing tourney yet, just a weekend warrior. I actually took a break from paintball for quite a while and am getting back into the sport, and am planning on playing at least once a month. Impulse's rarely chop anyway, so I should be fine. Once I get on a team and start playing tourney's, I will probably upgrade my Imp to a Vision, just to have the extra assurance that I won't chop. In tourney play, you can get into some strange positions in your bunker and tilt your 'gun sideways, etc. The Vision will make sure to not fire the 'gun unless the ball is completely in the chamber. I should be fine for woods play, but like I said, in tourneys, you can get into some funky positions, so the Vision will give you that certainty.

The Impulse is a great 'gun, and if you need have any more questions, feel free to post in this forum.

I get to play with it next Saturday! 8 more days! :D

How much money does it cost to upgrade a Impulse to the Vision Impulse? :eyes:

I think it's $200 or so, I forget who exactly does them, I remember seeing the person on PBNation.
