I used liquid plumer instead of drano to strip off my paint ( 98c) and it didnt work...it just made all the silver metal black.

well your screwed then unless you go and use drano ontop of the liquid plumber......
thats why it said use drano and drano only...u could try and fix it but it may just make it worse

Check the ingredients.
Does it say anything about lye?(sodium hydroxide) If it doesnt, then thats probbaly why it didn't work.

You need to send that baby to a professional. :D Seriously, If you can find some cleaner made for aluminum wheels that contains phosphoric acid, it will take the black smut right off your gun. But then you still have a raw aluminum gun. :(

Cobra does some nice ano, I just bought an Eblade grip from P&P, and they did a good job as well. Do a google search for paintball anodizing and a bunch of sites will show up. I used to do it myself, but there isn't much demand for it where I live. I just couldn't make enough to maintain my equipment, so I'm hoping for a job at another ano shop.
