i have recently sold my outkast cocker( style of playing changed) and ive been looking at the bushmasters. i have about 600$ and i want to know the difference between a BKO and a B2k4. since im new to the electro, should i get a bko so i can get familierized with the solinoids/electronics and the operation? or go with the b2k4? what are their main differences? my local paintball pro shop was telling me bushmasters are crap and that i should get an impulse. but i find impulses ugly and i dont care for their operation. any information would be greatly apreciated. thanx:D

A BKO runs on a 2way solenoid and B2K4 runs off a 4 way. What this means is the BKO's ram is spring returned instead of by air like the b2k4. Because of this the BKO is physically limited to 18bps. The B2K4 I believe is limited to roughly 30-36bps, which is more then enough for anybody. Stock wise or even upgraded wise the B2K is better off then the Impulse. The Impulse does not come stock with an inline reg, has problems with FSDO (first shot drop off) and the anti chop system is better in a b2k. In a B2K its a beam break system instead of a reflective beam. Basically the B2K can see all kinds of paint the Impulse can have problems with darker shelled paint. The only thing the Impulse has over the b2k stock is the max-flo regulator. Pick up a new inline reg for the b2k though and you still are better off. Your store owners either have never shot an ICD marker or fall in with the crowd believing the hype of SP products. Decide for yourself though nobody can tell you what feels better, go to a local field and try and shoot both. Pretty much though we will probably see you in the ICD Family. If you have the cash go get a b2k instead of a BKO u wont be disappointed and you have great people here that are always willing to help.

maintaining a BKO is almost the same as maintaining a b2k, if you have the money, get the b2k.

B2k is just a better BKO, better max speed (doubt you can go that high...) a little better efficiency, can get PDS for cheaper, Its just better.

I think he is looking at a 2k4 not a 2k. A 2k4 with PDS will out perform a BKO. 2k4 with PDS is your best bet. You can always buy a freestyle which I am probably doing.

as lucky had mentioned just go with the b2k4 there isnt much difference maintenance wise and you have a better performer and tournament ready marker out of the box, you wont be disappointed.
