he was right to an extent...shirts aren't the best thing to use when you get gogged. the reason why is because a shirt can pick up things on it that'll scratch your lens. By all means, do NOT use tissues or paper towels...Tissues have an oil on them that will go on and make your lenses cloudy, and paper towels have wood fibers that are nothing but trouble. I agree with Silent...just use some good ol' H2O.

If you get gogged in a game and head shots dont count (like where i play) then you could take a small squirt bottle to clean your goggles.

use a 50/50 solution of rubbing alcohol and water. just spray some on a clean cloth and when your hit just get most of the paint off then wipe with the cloth. carry a small spray bottle for when the cloth drys out.

They have fields where heashots don't count? Why? Anyway, I use windex, water and micro wipes designed for computers. The guy at the pro shop said that was fine.

Well when I use to use a clear shield for my ice hockey helmet...back in the day...I used a solution containing 2 parts H20 and 1 part rubbing aolcohol with a few squirts of soap. The soap helped it to stop fogging and (for a paintball mask) would help remove paint. I'm not quite sure what the aolocohol was for...I just saw it in a magazine and tried it.... I use the same thing for paintball. Put it in a little spray bottle...and shake it up real good b4 using. Works like a charm. Also...I use a micro fiber cloth (actually an old nike shirt that I got at TJmax for like $5)...never scratches it!

Because its one of the biggest in Europe and has a massive amount of newbies. To give them a good day of play they exclude shots below the neck line. Though some people get out of the game because they do get gogged and cant see.
It's just to keep the punters happy, on marshal days (the refs) we usually have head shots counting cos we are more experienced and need a challenge :D

The alcohol dissolves the paint and evaporates fast so it dosent leave streaks. I dont think your supposed to use windex on the lenses. I think some of the stuff in windex is harmful to lexan. Check the website of like jt or dupont. Lexan is a dupont product.

if you read the liitle saftey book that coms with all jt masks is do not use windex. i use the majik spray or plexon. they both work pretty good
what kind of household material is best for wiping paint with one of those water+alcohol solutions.
Would a Moist Towelette work

A moist towelette like the ones that come in the small packages from restorants or in the baby wipe containers are imo to wet to dry fast enough. i would use like an old facial towel or a piece of an old t-shirt. if you get splatter on your goggles it will take too long to dry if you spray the solution on directly just spray some on to the cloth and wipe and your good to go.

Its not really Windex, just a cleaner called simple green mixed with alchohal. I just tend to call it Windex.

simple green is also a no no, i recomend you read the instructions on how to take care of the lens.

windex, simple green,401 and all that stuff is made for glass. some of the chemicals in it can damage the plastic that lenses are made out of.
