ive never shot the RT pro. But i was always partial to its looks. But at least i can give you some pros/cons with the Impulse.
Pros-
*Fast
*easy maintance
*Price for what you get
*No Chopping
*Lots of after market parts for it. Makes for some extreme customization.
*Almost No kick
*Stock parts aren't too bad.
*Somewhat light weight
* WAS's New Board. Plop that in there and it'll be like your impulse is having an orgasm.
Cons-
*kinda ugly
*Not really air efficient unless you get new internals/LPR.
*stock trigger is horrible unless you mod it
*FSDO -First shot drop off.
If you decide to get an Impulse, get a WAS'd Rat at www.ratguns.com and youll be set.

I'm going to suggest an RT ULE Custom, you can get an RT Pro for $400 and upgrades cheap if you get it from AGD. You basically choose you upgrades, a ULE body is $20 when you get it with the RT Pro. Also, have you seen the hAir Trigger video? It gives the RT a 2oz. pull, that's the same as an electro; it should be out in a few months.
Mag Pros.
-Light: Xvalve/ULE parts
-No chops: Level 10
-Fast: Fastest Recharging Valve on the Market
-Looks: personal preference, but a few people are making some nice bodies.
That's all I can type now, I've gotta go, I could type more though.

I hade a ULE RT Pro without the X Valve for a while before I got a new rail and turned itinto an Automag. I never had problems with it, except for once, and the solution was simple, the valve was dirty. If you want a fast, reliable mech, I'd get the RT Pro.

I say RTP. It's very very light with ULE body, will never ever ever break and not be able to fixed easily, and it rarely breaks. The mag Level 10 bolt is the only thing that can guarantee no chops. With a ULT pull kit or nicad's hair trigger mod, it is walkable and can rival electros for speed. Plus it's mechanical so you don't have to worry about batteries or water. When you go with AGD, you know it's quality.
