The blade 02 uses 12gram cartridges. But IMO the $$ spent on a blade is better put towards a more "reliable" gun and one that youll be happier with. Like a spyder victor or xtra. In the end youll spend more money on co2 cartridges than the gun. I couldn't possibly recommend this to anyone, but if your minds set, yea it only uses 12grams which you put in the back and screw a cap over( to puncture it).

i agree that its also better to put your money towards something that will last
look for a cheap spyder or tippman for a good starter gun that is easily upgraded
the blade just really wont be your money's worth

oh ya i would too but the thing is that my mom thinks that paintball guns are extrodanarly dangoures. so when she sees like a c 98 she thinks gun. but this thing is plastic and looks like a nerf gun. so if i start with this ill be able to get a better one later. so can i use a reagular hopper on it?

A Tippman 98 custom is made of really strong composite(a kinda resin plasic but 100 times stronger), it will not break unless u take a hammer to it. U are better off buying a Spyer, something like a Victor or Victor 2. Spyders' have many upgrades and work's alot better, and u can use co2 tank instead of blowing tons of money on 12g cartiages.

blades are junk. they explode. iv had 2 blow up when i was around. if your mom thinks paintball is dangerous now, wait until your blade explodes. NOW thats dangerous. and a word of advice, tell her paintball is safer than golf. strange, but true

nononononono she already know\s that.its actually safer than bowling go figure. its jsut the look of them that makes her nervous. so if it does blow up shell let me get a better one.

Still, go with the talon. Their marker to blow up rate is lower!

The option of a constant air adapter on the talon makes it a smarter buy than the blade.
