My Avalon Commando 3 is awesome, when the paintballs don't bust in the hopper! I'm not sure whats going on, but it may be because of running through the woods. My gun doesnt chop unless a paintball breaks in the hopper then it chops alot of paint. I guess I need a thicker paintball. Any suggestions as to why I break paintballs and/or what the thickest and best paintball walmart sells, since walmart is the only place for me to go.

yea it's called blowback. excess air is sent up the feed neck pushing balls up, in extreme cases you actually break some paint and it goes everywhere. if you're shooting fast, this contributes to chopping.

HEY,
On your first point, it was probably because you had too many paintballs in the hopper and when the air came up the neck, the balls had nowhere to go, or if you get hit in the hopper or neck, that could do it. As for the wal-mart thing, i have found the best they have are sunflares, but dont reccomend using them over something like evil or marballizers. Hope this helps and happy hunting.

Try ordering paint offline.
The paint breaking in your hopper isn't due to blowback, it's because you have cheap paint.

well if your using an non motrize hopper it can look like the paint breaking in the hopper when you chop bad.reloader hoppers are 40.00 and can keep up with standard blow back makers.
