Ok.. On all those multi bore kits (Freak, CP Pro, Equation) i dont understand something.
The control bore is a certain bore.. and that is where you match your paint.. But then the tip isn't necessary the same bore size? LIke lets say you have a 10" tip that is 0.689.. but you use a control bore that is .0685 .. Well does'nt that affect the accuracy of the ball or is the ball already controled enough in the 5" or so of the control bore/insert so it stays straight through the barrel??
is this how it works or what? i dont get it totally
just something i was thinking about that i accepted, and din'dt quite understand :D

the ball is already controlled in the first few inches of the barrel. This is only true in barrels that have been designed using what is called "steps" or stepped. it's just as you indicated. those that are not designed this way are the same bore though the entire barrel.

Yah thats what i thought.
So what is the step style exactly??
Like.. how is it different from a barrel that is all one bore?

this is what a step bore barrel is. like you said the first few inches is what you use to match your paint (it is also the area of the barrel where the bore measurment is obtained) The rest of the barrel isn't the same bore, it's going to be larger.
no accuracy is not affected. like you said the ball is already controlled enough in the first few inches or so.
look here:
*font of the barrel .685 - rest of the barrel .689
see how the bore increases from .685 to .689...!? this rising effect is why they call it a step bore barrel.

with a stepped barrel wouldnt the paint "chatter" when it got to the wider part of the barrel ,decreasing accuracy?I mean you cant hold the gun perfectly still and the balls only contained for the first 8 or so inches.Wouldent an 8" barrel the right size for the paint be better?Or no extention after the insert.

Some people say they ball reforms to a circle in the 2nd stage. Its .7 bore so it doesnt really affect the paintball. If you took the tip off it would work pretty much the same just loud.
