sight rails.........

you know how on a sight rail when you install it on your mag it has that screw to hold it in place......... what do you guys do ?? i hate scratches and stuff on my mag and when i try to put something protective under it......... it just get messed up anyway........ you guys just screw it on or do something to protect it??

I don't use a sight rail. No scratches and it cuts down the dead weight.

Yeah, but then you will be tempted to put a sight on it....
lighter is better.

I use a piece of cotton cloth. Its a gun cleaning patch and I slide the sight rail on over it. It keeps the rail secure without the use of a screw.

but the sight rail has gills and you can see it........ oh well........ i'll see if i can figure it out
