smart parts impulse vs. 2003 vert cocker

I am aware that i made the cocker vs tippmann thread but now im wondering what would be the best for me to get a none vision(ill get it later) impulse with a vert max flow or a 2003 vert cocker, I know impulses are "suppose" to be better then cockers. i will mostly be doing a little rec ball and some tourny.

also will a phat 3D flame drop clear the vert max flow.
