pump requires a more precise way of thinking. you have to judge if the ball your about to send will completely blow your position or if your ball will not make it quite far enough. You need to take more chances and think more strategically. Its also a lot cheaper to play (like 20 bucks for a hole day) and is ALOT more challenging. I also like being harassed for it.... then I like it more when the people harassing me have to earn my respect because I goggled them..

most pumps dont need upgrades besides, MAYBE a new barrel.

can't wait 'til I can save up for a chipley sniper conversion for my '99 mini... I can see it now... "Dude! what the HELL did you do to that cocker????"
Pump play... it's challenging, cheaper, and just hella fun ^_^ I'd be willing to bet there are a greater number of players who have never even seen a pump on the field. In Hawaii, pump, esp. Stock Class, is pretty big, so it's not uncommon to see stockers running amok w/all the latest trick guns. Sure, you get ragged on sometimes before the day starts, but when you start shooting 'em all, you just get more props

pump play earns you respect. It's challenging too. really fun. I used to play semi but it's not as fun. hehe.

Zen: The CCM sniper's are AWSOME. With his custom pump handle and all. how much will it cost you? I always wanted a Sniper II or something. How they compare with Phantoms?

snipers are pretty nice... ever shot a cocker? think cocker, only pump... since i'm sorta building another cocker, I thought it might be cool to pick up a pump kit for my baby... not sure how much it'll cost, but I want a sniper III kit w/vertical ASA in chrome... ought to email 'em and find that out

a well tuned sniper/cocker is fantastic, but I wouldn't think much for stock class use... too much tuning goes into the regulated air/LP efficiency route, so I'd think running 12 gram would be silly... stock class, phantoms are hard to beat. Granted, yes, you could probably spring a cocker to run on 12 grams, but phantoms are so, so pretty ^_^

playing pump is a bit more fun to me. It forces you to be accurate! and it makes gog hits so much more sweeter!

How is the efficiency on a Sniper II? I heard you need a regulator and a new barrel. on www.pumpplayers.com under the "Gun pictures" section. Check out some of those Snipers....omg. must have more than a 1000 dollars invested to each one. I would be scared!

well, everybody and their sister throws away the stock barrel as soon as they can... but I'm assuming that the snipers have the same hammer spring/valve combo as the autocockers, so using an inline reg would be a good thing, since they're set up stock to run in the 350-400 psi 'park. Besides, as a ganeral rule of thumb, using a reg will keep your gun happier all around. But the phantoms, bless their little souls, are just too good on 12 grams.. all those little air passages make for better use of higher pressure output.
