Im not into boomers too much but they shoot pretty well. If you dont want to buy a freak and use paint that matches it well then theres no reason why you shouldnt get it. I would get a couple barrels of different size like the CPs. They are cheap and work well. I just wish other companies made their barrels in different sizes like CP and lapco so you cn buy a set of them.

in your sig it says you have a freak front and back  why not just get some inserts for it . . . or do you not have the freak? i am using a big shot on my bushy and i love it. i have never really been fond of any dye barrels really, i think they are over priced. i would get either the aa or a big shot or autospirit.

i do, i love my freak but i wanted to try something different. as for the aa i guess i could get an aa front right(sp makes those now dont they???) but i agree with you on dye being overpriced, if it werent for employee discounts i wouldnt buy any of their stuff. my bro has a bigshot and ive used it and i like it but imo its kinda short for my taste, 12 isnt bad but i like 14 the most and 16 is just crazy. i might just steal my bro's bs and get my freinds 16 aluminum. i have a short barrel already anyway (javelin) and its coo but im gonna wait.

I have heard alot of good things about the ultralite. It's basically a light boomstick. Get that.

i have an AA, it's amazing!
a couple weeks ago i thought the barrel was off, so just to make sure i didn't need a new barrel i did some tests.
1st: i filled a hopper with balls, made sure everything in my gun was clean (especially barrel)
then shot a pole, standing up, from my shoulder, out of 20 shots, 16 hit the pole in various spots (pole is about 4 inch diameter)
next: i moved 90 degress around the pole (so i didn't confuse previous splat marks) kneeled on the ground like i do for the majority of a paintball game, i took 20 shots and all 20 hit the pole within i'd say an 12" diameter grouping.
i was fairly impressed.
i moved again for one final test: i sat on the ground and sqeezed the gun tightly against my body and held it as still as i could. i took 20 shots. all 20 were touching eachother, the distance between the outermost paint marks was around 5 inches (not much larger that the diameter of a single splat).
<the experiment was done shooting at a wooden pole ~50ft away using semi-auto, an AA w/ ss back and month old bigball :D>
the only problem i can think of is that there is quite a bit of porting for a lp marker such as the bushy, i don't notice a difference in efficiency between my AA and my friend's boomer.
but all in all it's a great barrel, my reg broke down this weekend so i used my friends bushy, i used my AA instead of his boomstick.
