If you are chopping paint, try the following ball detent mod. I give credit to HPS for identifying the problem. The solution is my idea and I assume no responsibility if you do not perform it correctly and mess up your gun or ball detent (my lawyer told me to say that:D ).

I have owned the ebolt for two years. I bought it because I wanted to shoot 10+ bps. I own a revy, reloader, and HaloB. The revy and reloader are not even close to being fast enough. I have tried an Egg2 and it worked really well but it still was not fast enough and skipped and chopped paint. I think the Egg would be fast enough if you had the vertical feed C98. I think one of the biggest problems with feeding on the 98 is side feed and the position of the ball detent. The ball detent issue was addressed about two years ago by HPS (paintball shop who makes a vertical feed C98). The ball detent is placed to far to the rear of the gun. If you drop a ball into the gun, you will notice that the ball hits the detent and has to move backwards to fully enter the chamber. This becomes a problem at faster cycling speeds. To change this, I have removed the front part of the ball detent to move the detent forward. The empty space behind the detent was filled with a hard epoxy or glue. The ball now falls straight into the chamber without the delay. The ball detent mod still does not allow the HaloB to double feed. Mine has not double fed yet. The detent mod will help the feeding speed some, but you still need a haloB if you have done a trigger and trigger switch mod to keep up with the insane rate of fire.
