I already have a stock 2001 autococker but I may want to trade it for a stock automag classic w/ barrel. what type of specs are on a classic mag owner?

Specs? Well, take the time you spend timing your Cocker, and reduce that by 95% and that is the time you will spend keeping a Mag running.

Shop on ebay for good deals on used Mags. $300-$350 can get you a PF Mag with extras like barrels and other gear.

Make SURE you get a powerfeed body.

check the TKO powerfeed mag at actionvillage.com it's good for a beginner..... $300 comes with everything and start upgrading from there

Ebay is an excellent place to find a nice automag. Look for one with a barrel (there are lots of good ones..Smart Parts, Lapco, J&J, Dye, CP, Armson.....the list goes on). Also try to find one with HPA/N2 if you can afford it. Mags like Nitro/HPA better than CO2. If you cannot, make sure the mag has an expansion chamber. Make sure it also has a powerfeed body. I would suggest getting one with a 2 finger trigger frame and a foregrip. If you are looking to spend a little more money, see if you can find a mag that already has a Retro Valve in it. Don't fall for gimmicks like ANS valves and venturi bolts....they are expensive and don't add much/any performance. Mags have a built in regulator, so another external one is redundant. Here is an example of a pretty good deal;
